Glossybox: May 2015 review

Another month, another 'To me, Love me' treat in the form of my monthly Glossybox subscription. I'm almost certain this will be my last Glossybox before my holiday as the dispatch day usually falls around the date we are due to fly. *SIGH* Thank goodness then that this month's box was filled with lots of treats that are going to fit nicely into my (multiple) wash bags!

May's box had no special theme but to be honest, the products speak for themselves. I am thankful for an array of products (including 2 make up items, 2 skincare items and 1 hair product) so I was able to get straight into covering myself in all 5 at the same time without any product collision!

Box contents:

MeMeMe - Enchanted Eyes Dual Ended Eye Wand - Full size £6.95 - LINK!

I was a little disappointed this was selected as the 'sneak peak' item in the taunting email Glossybox send out about a week before dispatch day to fill you with anticipation and excitement (it's optional whether or not you decide to be a spoil sport and look). However, once it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. As the name of the product states, the pencil is dual ended, one side a vibrant blue and the other more of a navy shade (both metallic). The consistency is creamy, I'm not sure how much wear I will get out of the lighter blue end but the navy blue will work really well with my green/blue eyes. Apparently blue is going to be big for S/S 15 so I'll work on the assumption 'never say never'.

Collection Cosmetics - Field Day Lipstick - Full size £2.99 - LINK!

I've been a fan of Collection lipsticks for some years now. They have a great formula and are usually as long wearing as a lot of my Mac lipsticks. Obviously the selection of colours they offer is nowhere near as advanced however for the basic reds/nudes/pinks you really can't go wrong. I got a lovely pale pink pastel shade in my box and is very similar to Mac Saint Germain, if anything, it's a little less chalky.

Etre Belle - Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturising Gel - Full size £15.93 - LINK!

My skin is so happy with this little beauty. It isn't often I can trial a new product on my face without the trauma of a slight breakout until my skin adjusts but somehow it just thanked me for this product immediately. I've been using this product on a morning after my normal skincare routine and until it's properly soaked in you think you're going to be left like a slippery oil rig. For me, I've found it leaves a slight grip on the face and I swear my makeup is lasting longer. Aloe Vera has great soothing properties so this is going to be brilliant on holiday after a day in the sun.

Zerreau - Towel Off Shampoo Foam - Full size £7.95 - LINK!

I'm suitably impressed with this newbie. The concept is that it works somewhere in between a dry shampoo and an actual hair wash. You put some of the foam into your hands, rub it into the hair well and then towel dry. Obviously this product can't work miracles but what it can do is ensure your hair is looking fresh when you haven't got time for a full wash and go! The important part is towel drying and really making sure you extract all the moisture from the product on your hair.

SASS - Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate - Full size £12 - LINK!

Sounds dodgy, right?! I promise it isn't though. The intimate perfect skin concentrate is a moisturiser to be used after hair removal and claims to reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs due to the inclusion of salicylic acid in its formula. In fear of bragging, I have the best waxer in the business, not only is she the quickest (literally blink and you've missed it) but I can truly say I've never had a single ingrowing hair issue after I've paid her a visit. However, this isn't to say it isn't going to benefit a lot of people, and let's face it, I'm a gimmicky product kind of girl so I'll definitely still be using it. You can never be too careful in this hair removal game!
